Read full description of the books:
Billed as a Christmas romance, this wasn't really one. It actually takes place over the course of a year, with Christmas being a fairly small portion of that time. The year-long courtship aspect, while possibly being more realistic than a whirlwind romance, also gives the book a choppy, meandering and rather dull feel, and it still doesn't prevent the book from feeling rushed in the final few pages! (view spoiler)[The length of the happenings might be the only realistic thing in the book, however, because I simply cannot buy the "big reveal" in the end, though it was telegraphed a mile off and should be obvious to any fan of the genre. I cannot believe any human would react as nonchalantly as the hero does when presented with the obvious truth! It ended the book in a wild eye roll for me. (hide spoiler)] Aside from those major flaws, the biggest issue I had in reading this book was Molly, herself. What a terrible, unlikable child character! Not recommended for anyone without a really high tolerance for brats.
ETA: Re-furbished romance from 1978, Green Mountain Man, from Dailey's Americana series.
